A Supportive Response Starts with Believing and Listening
When someone tells you about harm or a concern, your response can make a meaningful difference. Start with calm attention. Thank them for telling you. Avoid asking for more detail than is necessary, questioning their memory, or promising an outcome you cannot control.

Connect, Do Not Carry It Alone
If there is immediate danger, contact emergency services. If you have a legal or professional duty to report, follow that duty. For emotional support and resource navigation, connect the person with an independent survivor-support service or trusted, trained local provider.
